Mr. Keegel was appointed to his current role in July 2024 after serving three years as Managing Director for Europe and China, where he oversaw operations and strategic initiatives. Previous leadership roles include General Manager for China and Vice President of Strategic Planning, playing a crucial role in shaping and executing the company’s long-term vision and growth strategies.

Mr. Keegel began his career at Tronox in 1997 at the company’s pigment facility in Botlek, the Netherlands. He held various engineering and production management roles at the Botlek site and the Tiwest pigment plant in Australia, a joint venture between Tronox and Exxaro Mineral Sands. From 2007 to 2013, he served as a senior consultant for TZMI, an independent consulting company advising global clients in the mineral, metal, and chemical sectors.

Mr. Keegel holds a Master of Science degree in Raw Material Engineering from Delft University of Technology. With a robust background in engineering and strategic management, he is dedicated to fostering continuous improvement and driving innovation within Tronox.
