Mr. Grebey joined Tronox in the spring of 2012. He brings to the company more than 25 years of corporate, agency and government experience in strategic communications, issues management, public affairs and marketing. Before joining Tronox, he was the senior vice president, corporate and consumer practice lead, and New York general manager for the public relations agency Waggener Edstrom Worldwide.
Prior to his agency work, he was vice president of communications and marketing for Sikorsky Aircraft, a division of United Technologies Corp. He has also held senior communications positions with Siemens Corporation, Webvan.com, Levi Strauss & Company, and Kenetech/U.S. Windpower. In those posts, Mr. Grebey directed communications across the lifespan of a corporation — from IPOs, mergers and acquisitions, and international brand development, to litigation, labor relations, downsizing and bankruptcies. He began his career in Washington, D.C., serving as a press secretary and chief of staff in the U.S. House of Representatives. He also served as a political consultant to the Foreign Ministry of Japan. He holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio.
