Reliability Engineer (Instrumentation / Electrical) position requires a degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field and one (1) year of engineering experience at an industrial site. The Sr. Reliability Engineer (Instrumentation / Electrical) position requires a degree in Electrical Engineering or related field plus three (3) years engineering experience at an industrial site. A thorough knowledge of plant operations, equipment and processes is required. The candidate should have direct experience with Plant Instrumentation, Motors and Motor Control, Power Circuits and Automated Controls. The candidate should be able to read elementary and one-line electrical drawings and schematic diagrams. Knowledge and understanding of Arc Flash hazards is a must. Experience and expertise in Protective Relaying, Medium Voltage Breakers, Substation Transformers and Equipment, Rectifiers, Variable Frequency Drives and DCS/PLC Control Systems is preferred.
The main focus is to improve the reliability of our electrical equipment by analyzing performance, reliability and maintenance data to eliminate unplanned outages and reduce the equipment life cycle costs. The incumbent is also to provide Maintenance Engineering Support to include troubleshooting problems and developing and executing plans to address issues that may arise with electrical equipment and instrumentation. Ensures the operation of the plant in an environmentally responsible manner in compliance with all Safety, Health and Environmental Policy.
